Amazonas, Brazil.   In Memory Olive Kovie Denning (97) went to be with the Lord June 9, 2006. Olive was a faithful member of the parish for many years. She is survived by her son Joe Kovie and his wife Connie and their two children. Ronald Lamb (72), who for many years was associated with St. Andrew’s, passed away May 16, 2006.   Thank You To all those who helped in preparing for the Synod and Bishop Grote’s Episcopal visit. We are grateful to you who planted flowers and worked to make the building and property more attractive, who researched historical materials and prepared displays, who worked on the gifts for Synod attendees, and a host of other things. We could not have had such a meaningful Synod without your hard work and dedication.   Confirmed Jim and Charlotte Corbett were confirmed by Bishop Grote on Sunday, June 18, 2006. We welcome you to the fellowship of this parish and pledge our commitment to you as fellow believers.   Ordination The Rev. Dr. Derrick Hassert was ordained a presbyter by Bishop Grote on Sunday. June 18, 2006. We deeply appreciate the ministry which Rev. Hassert has had in this parish as a deacon and will continue to have as a presbyter.   Convocations Due to the growth of the Diocese of Mid-America, we now have 45 parishes and missions, Bishop Grote has divided the Diocese up into four Convocations. The new Convocations will be overseen by a Bishop of this Diocese and assisted by a Dean.
