RALLY DAY 2011
Sunday, September 11, was a big day here at St. Andrew's. It was our annual Rally Day, which marks the resumption of Sunday School. It is also the Sunday when the Choir begins to once again sing in the Service of Holy Communion. To celebrate the day a picnic was held on the parish grounds. The day was made extra special because All Saints' Anglican Church (an RE mission in Chicago heights) joined us for worship and the picnic. We also had the opportunity to meet their new pastor, the Rev. Shola Falodun, and his wife, Stella. Here are a few photographs of the day.

WHAT GOD HATH PROMISED
God hath not promised
Skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways
All our lives through;
God hath not promised
Sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow,
Peace without pain.
But God hath promised
Strength for the day,
Rest for the labor,
Light for the way,
Grace for the trials,
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy,
Undying love.
